Determining the Right Size
Based on the guidance of the surgeon, the patient would choose one implant size to begin with. Therefore, she would compare it with slightly bigger and slightly smaller sizes to identify the most appropriate size. In most cases, the patient will be able to narrow the size options to one or two sizes fairly quickly.
In some cases, the woman may not have sufficient breast tissue, and the surgeon may advise her that she may experience about 10 percent loss of breast volume within a year. The difference of 10 percent of an implant in the size range 250 to 450cc would be about the same as the difference between two sizes.
