Procedure
Neck lift surgery may be performed using local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia. If the patient only suffers from excess fat pockets in the neck, but the skin is fairly elastic, only neck liposuction may be performed. In other cases, the plastic surgeon will remove excess skin and restructure the underlying weak neck muscles to provide a subtle lift to the neck.
Surgeons who use the latest surgical techniques will be able to perform neck lift using very small incisions, which are generally placed in discreet locations behind the ears and below the chin. Excess fat will be removed through the incisions via surgical excision or liposuction. Slack muscles will also be tightened and repositioned. Recovery
