Brow Lift Plastic Surgery Procedure StepsBrow lift cosmetic surgery procedure will reposition the brows and open the eye area to reveal a more alert and rejuvenated upper face. The surgeon will discuss the steps involved in the brow lift procedure during the initial consultation. Once the patient knows what the procedure entails, they will usually feel more assured and their pre-surgery anxiety will reduce.

Hardworking, wonderful, and board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Eugene Kim provides brow lift surgery to appropriate candidates. Dr. Kim will use advanced techniques to perform the surgery in a minimally invasive way. He provides brow lift to patients in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, CA, and surrounding communities.

Pre-op Consultation

A thorough consultation process will be the first key step in a brow lift cosmetic surgery. The patient should be prepared to engage closely with the surgeon during the consultation process because it will create the foundation for a safe and successful surgery. The patient should feel free to ask questions and clear any concerns or doubts at this stage.

The surgeon will determine the patient’s candidacy for brow lift, and discuss their incision preferences. They will assess the patient’s upper face anatomy, the degree of skin laxity, and the condition of eyelids. The surgeon will also explain the benefits and limitations of brow lift, and help the patient make an informed choice.

Customized Brow Lift Plan

The surgeon will create an individualized brow lift surgery plan after taking into account the patient’s unique eye and forehead anatomy and their personal cosmetic goals. The patient’s medical condition and previous upper face surgeries, if any, will also be considered.

The surgeon will aim to make the brow lift procedure less invasive so that the patient goes through reduced risk, discomfort and downtime. They will also discuss with the patient about the type of anesthesia to be used and the choice of surgical venue.

Surgical Procedure

Anesthesia

Brow lift may be performed using local anesthesia with light sedation. The patient will not feel any sensation during the surgery, and will have no recollection of it once they wake up.

Surgery

Following anesthesia, Dr. Kim will begin the brow lift procedure by placing small incisions in the hairline. This will help ensure that any subsequent scarring remains discreetly hidden. Dr. Kim will usually perform an endoscopic brow lift, which is a less invasive technique. Through the incision, he will insert a tiny camera or endoscope under the skin.

The camera will allow Dr. Kim to view the underlying structures of the brow on a monitor outside and make alterations in a minimally invasive way. Using small and highly precise surgical instruments, Dr. Kim will lift the drooping forehead muscles and proceed to weaken these muscles that pull the brow downward. Contrary to the facelift procedure, there is no pulling of the skin, although excess skin may be removed if necessary.

Incision Closure

Once the procedure is over, Dr. Kim will carefully close the incisions with removable or dissolvable sutures. Motivated and commendable plastic surgeon Dr. Kim receives patients from Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, CA, and other neighborhoods and suburbs in this region of SoCal for brow lift.
